RAS Creative Lab Collaboration: KOV Design Studio Anime Head 1.3
I have been asked to be a model for an anime head my friend, techanitkov Klaar, is making. And since I like to compose and making pictures, I photoshopped it a little bit and put it together as you can see from the first picture below:

After he took a look at the composition I made, techanitkov made some adjustment which made it looks even better.

This avatar comes with shape and skin which blended nicely with the head, and for a better look I recommend you to set your windlight settings to “Analu *studio* 5″ or “[Analu] studio 5″ in Phoenix or Imprudence Viewer (the pictures of the avatar are taken with the settings). If you are running on High or Ultra settings, I suggest you to disable the Atmospheric Shaders in the Advanced Graphics Preferences.
Simply enter these commands into the chat to change your avatar’s facial features:
To change mouth, enter:
/1 mouth1 (mouth1, mouth2, mouth3, mouth4, mouth5, or mouth6)
To change left eye, enter:
/2 eye1 (eye1, eye2, eye3, or eye4)
To change right eye, enter:
/3 eye1 (eye1, eye2, eye3, or eye4)
For instance:
Typing “/1 mouth2″ into the chat changes your mouth to style #2.
Shape and skin included, outfit and other accessories do not.

RAS Creative Lab: Second Life Machinima Project Log #3
Finally I’m done making the 3d castle in sketchup -3- Since it’s pretty hard to manipulate camera in SL, I have no choice but to make a scene in sketchup and put it together with the character in a video editing program.
It turns out to be better than i expected. One down side is that if you look carefully, you’ll see the ‘outline’ around the character. It is barely noticeable, still I’d have to try different method to get rid of it… That’s all for now, Flaire Clarence, signing off :3

Settings
- Default Medium Settings (with slight modification)
- View Range – minimum (64 m)
- Particle Count – minimum (0)
- Post-processing Quality – maximum
- And the list goes on…
So I tried to fix the framerate by reducing the settings a little bit and it worked :’D The framerate is now 12-40 (yes, you read it right) fps, much swinging, but acceptable >.< So I guess I’ll have to wait when my laptop is “in the mood” every time I want to start recording videos xD But oh well, everything works fine now, and I will start with my first Second Life machinima project :3

RAS Freebies Corner: Neko Ears and Tail
Almost everyone in SL did want to be a neko at some times, and I doubt if there was anyone resist the cute and cuddliness of neko tail and ears >w< I have nothing against the ‘fluffy’ tails, but I think these tails have become so prevalent that we can hardly find the normal, ‘lean’ ones anymore. So here’s a freebies that my friend Janet Vyper told me about while I was in a cat maid cafe (she’s working there) :3 You can find this freebies at a Japanese mall called SLMaMe.
Thanks to this freebies, now you can be a cute (or sexy) neko without paying anything :'D
Not only the ears are nicely detailed (you can see even the hair in the ears), but also they are twitching x3 Although the tail doesn’t have the function to let you ‘play’ with, it is scripted with subtle wagging function that makes it so adorable :3

After you got the neko set, don’t forget to explore around the mall. There are some variety of interesting freebies, prize chairs, and stores setting up booths which you might want to check them out for great items and landmarks.

RAS Tech Tips: Second Life On The Go with iPhone, iPod Touch, & iPad
Do you want to keep in touch with your friend on Second Life but too lazy to carry your laptop (or even worse, desktop) along with you everywhere? Well, I’m one of those who is now addicted to SL recently but could not stay in front of the computer all the time. :’P With this program, you can connect to Second Life from anywhere with your iPhone, iPod Touch, & iPad.
No, I’m not talking about some Apps that have you connect to SL without its full functions (there is one with almost all of the functions with no graphics and you’ll have to pay for it, which I might review it later). I’m talking about an Apps that is have you dive into full Second Life experience. Actually, this program let you control EVERYTHING on your computer, as if you are sitting in front of it for FREE. XD
Teamviewer Client on PC (ID and password erased for my own safety) ;P
So how you start is download and install Teamviewer on your computer from their website. Also, you need the Teamviewer for iPhone (or Teamviewer HD for iPad) from the iTunes App Store or from their website. After you have everything prepared, run your Teamviewer program on your computer and note the ID and password down, you will need that to connect on your iPhone.
Now, when you leave your computer and want to go into SL, run the Teamviewer apps on your device, put in the password you noted, and volia!: you are now controlling you own computer from your iPhone! :’D

You can switch between landscape and portrait, zoom, left click, scroll with gestures. Although my internet speed is not decent, the remote connection I tested is good enough with 0.5-2 seconds delay. Personally I think this is acceptable, unless you want to use this program to play some fps like Call of Duty, which i would not recommend xD
